This needed an exorcism. I found this Marantz SR-1000 in a barn and it’s been such a pain to work on haha. Every time I fixed an issue it would develop another. It seems as though it’s working great now though! This Marantz SR-1000 was in bad shape when I found it. The wood front pieces were damaged, case was falling apart and feaux walnut wood grain vinyl was peeling off. The left channel didn’t work and it had corrosion on many parts inside from corrosive glue. The phono section had a buzz from poor internal grounding. The lamps were all burned out and none of the meters worked. I fixed all of that and built a new wood case and side pieces out of maple plywood and solid maple. I’m pretty stoked with
