From 1989 to 2014, guests at Disney-MGM / Hollywood Studios could experience the Studio Backlot Tour. When the park opened, the Backlot Tour wasn’t just an attraction, it was a behind the scenes look at a working studio. One highlight of the early tour was the bee from Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. Two lucky guests would be selected from the crowd to demonstrate how the special effect was achieved. On our first visit to the park, my sister and I were picked.
